Discover 17 stunning Cape Cod wedding venues, from private beaches to historic estates, perfect for your dreamy coastal New England wedding.

Cape Cod is genuinely one of my favorite places to photograph weddings. The beaches, the harbors, the historic architecture. It all comes together in a way that’s hard to replicate, and the venues here actually do the setting justice. The vibe is just different, in the best way. Cape Cod weddings are truly in a category of their own.
This list covers 17 of the best options for wedding venues on Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket, ranging from private beach clubs to oceanfront resorts to more intimate coastal properties. If you’re narrowing down where to get married, this is a good place to start.
Nestled in Harwich Port, Wychmere Beach Club is such a dreamy spot. Wychmere is one of my top recommendations for waterfront weddings on the Cape, and I’ve photographed here enough times to say that confidently. What makes it work photographically is the variety: private beach access for ceremonies with the Atlantic behind you, the Ocean Room with floor-to-ceiling windows and panoramic water views, and enough distinct spaces that the day never feels like it’s happening in one room.
The Harbor Room is where cocktail hour tends to feel most natural — elevated but relaxed, which is exactly the right tone before the reception opens up in the Hydrangea Room. That space is spacious and polished, with the kind of finishes that read well in photos without trying too hard.
On-site accommodations include private balconies, beach access, pools, and a fitness center, which makes the full weekend experience easy for couples and guests alike. The team here is genuinely attentive, and it shows in how smoothly the day runs.
Couples always rave about the service, and I’ve seen firsthand how thoughtful and attentive the team is. One couple shared, “The entire staff at Wychmere made our wedding, and our guests, feel safe, comfortable, and luxurious. The food is amazing, and they truly take care of everything.” I couldn’t agree more—it’s one of those venues that truly goes above and beyond. Wedding Wire

Located in Harwich, Wequassett Resort and Golf Club sits on Pleasant Bay with beautifully landscaped grounds and water views that come through in photos regardless of the time of day. Ceremony options include the Grand Lawn overlooking the ocean and the Garden Terrace for a more intimate scale. The Pavilion flows naturally into the Waterfront Room for the reception, which has floor-to-ceiling windows and a distinctive circular footprint that adds something to the space.
The resort’s accommodations include suites and cottages with waterfront views, and the on-site amenities — golf, tennis, pools, fine dining — make it a real destination for guests who are traveling. For couples who want everything in one place, this is one of the best options on the Cape.
Couples often rave about their experiences, with one bride stating, “Everything from the professional, experienced, and attentive staff to the 5-star restaurant quality food and unmatched landscaping/views were incredible.” Wedding Wire

Perched in Chatham, Chatham Bars Inn has private beach access, historic architecture, and the kind of understated luxury that doesn’t need to announce itself. If you want the classic Cape Cod feel with serious polish behind it, this is the one.
Ceremony options include the South Lawn with panoramic ocean views and the Beachfront, where couples enter down a long staircase to the water. That entrance is one of those moments guests remember. Cocktail hour works well on the Ocean Terrace, and the Main Dining Room handles the reception with indoor/outdoor flexibility. Spa access, boating, and gourmet dining round out the guest experience for those staying on property.
A recent review highlights the venue’s appeal: “Chatham Bars Inn is an amazing venue! We recently had our wedding ceremony and reception on site. The setting is breathtaking! The staff is incredible! The food was delicious! It was all better than I could have ever dreamed.” Wedding Wire

The Wianno Club is a private club in Osterville with panoramic views of Nantucket Sound, and the exclusivity of it actually translates into the day. Ceremonies on the lawn overlooking the water are genuinely beautiful, the expansive veranda is a natural cocktail hour space, and the dining room has large windows that frame the coastal views. In season, a sailcloth tent is available for receptions, which is exactly the right Cape Cod touch.
A note worth flagging: membership is required to host a wedding at Wianno, so this one is worth confirming before you fall in love with it.
A feature in Boston Magazine describes a wedding at the Wianno Club: “The Cape Cod venue is where Coco Van der Wolk’s parents met as toddlers, making it the perfect place to celebrate her marriage to Jay Lindseth.” Boston Magazine

Located in North Falmouth, Sea Crest Beach Hotel sits right on Buzzards Bay in North Falmouth, and the Oceanfront Courtyard is one of the more genuinely intimate ceremony setups on this list. The shaded patio flows into the Nauset Ballroom, which has panoramic water views and a classic coastal feel without being overdone.
Beachfront rooms and suites with private balconies make it easy for guests to settle in, and the indoor and outdoor pools, fitness center, and on-site dining keep the full-weekend experience covered.
One couple shared their experience: “We tied the knot at this beautiful resort. Everything was fabulous. Our room was right on the beach. The wedding was on the beach. The food was delicious. The room sparkled. And we had the time of our life!” Wedding Wire
Chequessett Club is the laid-back option on this list, and that’s meant as a compliment. It’s a rustic boathouse and private beach setting in Wellfleet, and the day flows accordingly: ceremony on the beach with Wellfleet Bay behind you, cocktail hour in the Boathouse with a tented deck and lawn games in the boatyard, and then a tent reception on the beach where guests dine and dance with the sunset over the water.
There are no on-site accommodations, but Wellfleet has plenty of nearby inns and rentals. If your priority is a relaxed, coastal, genuinely Cape Cod experience over a resort setting, Chequessett is worth a look.
A review notes, “Chequessett was a great venue for our summer wedding! The staff was great to work with and highly recommended for a Cape Cod wedding.” Wedding Wire
Located in Brewster, Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club has the Nickerson Mansion as its anchor, and the combination of historic architecture and Cape Cod Bay access makes it a strong option for couples who want something with real presence. Ceremony options include the private beach with the bay as a backdrop or the Front Lawn with views of the Mansion. The Ocean Terrace handles cocktail hour well, and the Mansion Ballroom is polished and spacious for the reception.
Beyond the wedding itself, the resort offers golf, spa, and the Cape Cod Rail Trail nearby, which gives guests plenty to do across the weekend.
Reviews highlight the exceptional service and stunning setting. One couple noted, “Our wedding day was simply incredible! Our beach ceremony was perfect and was executed seamlessly thanks to the planning and attentiveness of the entire OE team.” The Knot

Located in Plymouth, 1620 Winery at Cordage Park is different from everything else on the list, and intentionally so. 1620 Winery has a Barrel Room ceremony space surrounded by oak wine barrels, exposed brick, and wooden beams throughout. If a coastal resort setting doesn’t feel like you, but you still want something with character and warmth, this is worth considering.
The outdoor patio with fire pits extends the evening naturally, and the venue includes a bridal suite and on-site coordinator. Plymouth has plenty of lodging options nearby for guests.
Couples consistently commend the venue’s ambiance and service. One bride remarked, “Wow! I cannot say enough of how AMAZING this venue is! My husband and I got married 10.01.22 and our guests have not stopped talking about how much fun our wedding was!” 1620 Winery
Situated in Dennis Port, Pelham House Resort is oceanfront on Nantucket Sound in Dennis Port, and the rooftop restaurant as a cocktail hour space is one of the more distinctive options on Cape Cod. Ceremonies happen on the private beach, and the Oceanfront Ballroom has floor-to-ceiling windows that make the most of the location.
The resort recently renovated its guest rooms and suites, and amenities include a heated outdoor pool and easy access to nearby Cape Cod attractions.
Reviews highlight the exceptional service and breathtaking location. One couple noted, “The absolute BEST on the Cape! Just married at Pelham House Resort and they exceeded our expectations in every way! Incredible venue, warm staff, excellent food…” Wedding Wire

Located in Edgartown on Martha’s Vineyard, Harbor View Hotel overlooks Edgartown Harbor and Lighthouse Beach, and the Great Lawn ceremony setup with the lighthouse in the background is one of the best settings on the Vineyard. The Water Street Restaurant and Lighthouse Grill both work well for cocktail hour and reception, with coastal cuisine and panoramic views throughout.
The hotel’s accommodations range from suites to cottages in classic New England style, and the saltwater pool, bike rentals, and proximity to Edgartown’s shops and galleries make for a full weekend experience.
Couples praise the venue’s ambiance and attentive staff. One bride shared, “Our Harbor View Wedding was perfect! The team was incredible to work with leading up to the wedding and the staff were all so kind and accommodating on the day.” The Knot
Also in Edgartown, Winnetu Oceanside Resort is a South Beach ceremony with the Atlantic Ocean behind you, a West Lawn cocktail hour, and the Dunes Restaurant for an indoor reception with floor-to-ceiling windows and a spacious dance floor. It’s one of those venues that photographs beautifully in any direction, which I always appreciate.
The resort offers suites and private cottages with coastal design throughout, and activities like tennis, yoga, and guided island tours make it a destination guests are genuinely happy to travel to.
Reviews often highlight the seamless planning process and stunning location. A recent bride mentioned, “The Winnetu was hands down the most beautiful wedding venue and I had the wedding of my dreams! Getting married on the beach, a gorgeous outdoor cocktail reception on the deck and amazing food!” Wedding Wire

Right in the heart of Nantucket, The Nantucket Hotel & Resort manages the balance between historic charm and modern amenities well. The Grand Deck ceremony setup has harbor views, and the Breeze Restaurant and Terrace both work for cocktail hour and the reception. Two heated pools, a fitness center, and easy access to downtown Nantucket round out the guest experience.
For couples who want a Nantucket wedding without coordinating a private rental, this is the most established venue option on the island.
Couples commend the venue’s comprehensive services and picturesque setting. One review noted, “I would highly recommend this venue to any bride and groom looking for an amazing wedding experience on Nantucket.” The Knot
The Coonamessett is a classic New England property in Falmouth with both indoor and outdoor ceremony options, a patio for cocktail hour, and a Cape Cod-inspired ballroom for the reception. With 29 rooms and suites on site, it’s a solid full-weekend option for couples who want guests close. The grounds are well-maintained and photograph nicely without requiring a lot of work to find the good spots.
Guests have praised The Coonamessett for its exceptional service and beautiful setting. One reviewer noted, “The Coonamessett is highly recommended by numerous reviewers for its exceptional service, stunning grounds, and delicious food options.” Wedding Wire
Willowbend is a country club venue in Mashpee with manicured gardens, water views, and a grand ballroom with high ceilings and large windows. The ceremony space is well-suited for outdoor vows against the course backdrop, the patio works for cocktail hour, and the ballroom scales well for a larger reception.
No on-site accommodations, but Mashpee and the surrounding area have plenty of hotel and inn options for guests.
Reviews highlight the venue’s exceptional service and breathtaking setting. One couple shared, “Willowbend is a hidden gem of Cape Cod wedding venues with impressive views, delicious food, and exceptional service.” The Knot
Situated along the scenic waterfront, Duxbury Bay Maritime School overlooks the bay with sailboats drifting through the background, and that’s the visual you get for your ceremony. It’s genuinely beautiful in a way that feels effortless rather than staged. Cocktail hour happens under a Sperry sailcloth tent adjacent to the ceremony site, and the reception can move into Clifford Hall with panoramic bay views or stay under the tent for an open-air evening.
No on-site accommodations, but Duxbury has good options nearby. For couples who want a coastal setting without a resort price tag, this one is worth serious consideration.
Couples consistently praise the Cape Cod venue’s beauty and the staff’s dedication. One bride noted, “The space is beautiful, right on the bay, and provided a stunning backdrop for our ceremony and reception. DBMS was a great choice for our wedding, as the entire staff worked tirelessly to make sure our day was perfect from start to finish.” DBMS

Shining Tides sits on Mattapoisett Harbor with a lawn ceremony setup, panoramic water views, and a wraparound porch that’s one of the better cocktail hour spaces I’ve seen at a smaller venue. For the reception, the porch works well for an intimate gathering, and a tented option on the lawn accommodates larger groups while keeping the seaside feel.
The coordinator here gets consistently strong reviews, which matters as much as the space itself when it comes to how the day actually runs.
Clients often commend the venue’s coordinator and the overall experience. A recent review stated, “Shining Tides is a highly recommended beach wedding venue with an exceptional event coordinator named Elizabeth who is praised for her organization, communication, and overall support throughout the planning process.” The Knot
The Club at New Seabury offers two distinct venues for weddings: the grand ballroom at the clubhouse and the beachfront Popponesset Inn. The Popponesset Inn is the classic Cape Cod beach option: ceremony on the sand, cocktail hour on the deck with direct beach access, and a tented reception with that coastal atmosphere. The Club’s ballroom is the more formal setting, overlooking the championship golf course and Nantucket Sound, with floor-to-ceiling windows and an outdoor deck for pre-reception cocktails.
Having two venue styles within the same property gives couples real flexibility depending on the scale and feel they’re after.
Reviews often highlight the picturesque settings and attentive staff. One couple shared, “If you’re looking for a stunning, unique venue with excellent food and a professional, attentive staff, this is the place to be. Our wedding day was everything we dreamed of and more.” The Knot

Venue rental fees on the Cape generally run from $20,000 to over $50,000, with total wedding costs (venue, catering, florals, vendors) typically landing between $30,000 and $200,000 or more. Peak season dates from June through September book fast and tend to come at a premium; if you have your eye on a specific venue, reaching out early is worth it.

A few things that matter more than they might seem upfront:

Hopefully this gives you a solid starting point for narrowing down your list. Go see the ones that stood out in person, ask about rain plans at every single tour, and don’t wait too long to reach out. Cape Cod wedding venues book fast, especially for summer and fall dates.
Once you’ve toured venues and settled on a date, the next step is locking in your planner and photographer. If you’re looking for a Cape Cod wedding photographer, Inquire with me today, and let’s connect about your vision and dream wedding day!
