Laura and Teddy’s fall wedding this past September took place at the beautiful Willowdale Estate in Topsfield, Massachusetts. Even though it started raining just before their ceremony began, Laura and Teddy made the most of their wedding day and didn’t let anything get them down!
Laura and her three bridesmaids began getting ready for the wedding day at a private residence in Beverly, Massachusetts. They shared champagne, charcuterie boards and laughs while getting their hair and makeup done. They then traveled over to The Willowdale Estate and finished getting ready in the bridal suite.
Teddy and his groomsmen also got ready onsite at The Willowdale, enjoying sandwiches, beer, and good company!
First Look in Courtyard at The Willowdale Estate
After Laura and Teddy were both all dolled up, we set them up for a sweet first look in the courtyard. Teddy’s reaction was so sweet!
Bride and Groom Portraits
Following their first look, we went right into bride and groom portraits, and then moved on to bridal party and family formals! We finished everything just in the nick of time, as it began to rain after I took the final photo! Afterwards, the staff at The Willowdale began to transition the ceremony set up from the courtyard to under the tent.
L&T’s Tented Wedding Ceremony
As the rain came down, guests began to arrive for the ceremony! We had Laura tucked away as everyone filtered in and found their seats. Unfortunately, there was a mix up with the buses that were picking up guests from nearby hotels, so things took a little longer than normal. But we made the most of it, and as soon as the last bus arrived, the ceremony kicked off!
Tented Wedding Reception at The Willowdale Estate
After their quick ceremony, Laura and Teddy headed back into the bridal suite for some much needed time alone where they decompressed and got Laura’s dress bustled and ready to party! In the meantime, guests enjoyed drinks, snacks, and mingling inside during cocktail hour.
As their reception began, Laura and Teddy were announced and took the dance floor for their first dance. Their first dance was followed up with a welcome speech where they thanked everyone that made their wedding day possible, including extra thanks to their guests for attending. After their toast, the best man & maid of honor speeches began, followed by parent dances. Unsurprisingly, Laura and Teddy’s friends had some truly remarkable things to say about them – they are just an amazing couple. The toasts were sweet and funny, which had the guests captivated! Then they went inside to cut their cake privately, and went back to the tent to party the night away!
Laura and Teddy, it was an absolute honor to capture your wedding day and create long lasting memories of your special day! Cheers to a lifetime of happiness!
