Wychmere Beach Club is a jaw-dropping oceanside Cape Cod wedding venue in Harwich Port, Massachusetts. If you’re interested in Cape Cod as your wedding destination, you should definitely add Wychmere to your list to tour.
There are honestly so many reasons to love Wychmere—it’s truly a favorite venue of mine. Besides being in a wildly convenient location not too far on the Cape (in Harwich Port, MA), it’s gorgeous. Within the property, they have three wedding venues to choose from: The Dune, The Harbor Room, and The Ocean Room. Each venue has its own set of locations for your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. While they are all unique, they are all oceanside, have the classic Cape Cod feel, and scream luxury.
On your wedding day, you will be matched up with an incredible day of coordinator and bridal assistant, who are ready to serve you and make your experience the absolute best. Their staff is incredible, attentive, and make you feel so cared for.
Even though there are three venues on the same property, Wychmere does an incredible job at keeping each wedding separate. If you weren’t aware of the other venues, you may not even notice that there are other weddings happening!
Another great thing about choosing Wychmere Beach Club as your Cape Cod wedding venue is the onsite lodging. Cape Cod can be tricky with lodging, as there aren’t many hotels/motels. Having lodging onsite eliminates this headache for you and your guests. This also allows you to create a wedding weekend, where you host events the day prior to your wedding, and the day after. In turn, you’ll receive more time with your guests and extend the celebration even further!
Up first is Wychmere’s newest venue, The Dune. It features a panoramic view of the ocean from the inside, with crisp white walls, classic drift wood floors, and intricate chandeliers—making it absolutely stunning without any decor! The Dune features two floors and a rooftop terrace, with a capacity of 240 guests.

When you book The Dune as your wedding venue, here is the typical arrangement:
Ceremony Location: Your ceremony would be on the rooftop terrace overlooking the private beach club and ocean. Depending on if there are other weddings taking place, you may also be able to choose to hold your ceremony on the beach.
Cocktail Hour: On the top floor (the same as the rooftop terrace) there is an indoor space just through the glass doors. This is where your cocktail hour will be held! It holds a large bar, bathrooms, and plenty of space for your guests to mingle. The doors remain open and the ceremony site also acts as an outdoor cocktail space. It’s a great vibe, and allows guests the opportunity to go inside or stay outside and enjoy the ocean breeze.
Reception: On the first floor, past the large bar and seating area is the reception space featuring large windows and an incredible view of the ocean. With its modern design and classic Cape Cod touches, it makes for the perfect backdrop for your party! This space could be transformed into your unique vision, or left untouched. Its beautiful on its own, so it doesn’t need much if simple is your preference.
Getting Ready/ Private Space: The Dune features two separate suites, one for each of you and your wedding parties. This is super convenient if you’d like to do your getting ready photos onsite, and provides you with a space separate from your guests.

If you choose The Dune as your wedding venue, here is what your ceremony could look like! This is a Summer wedding on the rooftop terrace.

Greet your guests indoors or outdoors during your cocktail hour at the dune. With a large bar, indoor seating, an outdoor patio with seating, there’s a little bit for everybody!

Invite your guests downstairs to the reception space to kick off your party! With a modern and elegant feel, your guests will have something to write home about!

For golden hour, you can head out onto the beach and boardwalk for couples photos!

Located above Wychmere’s main venue, The Ocean Room is perfect for slightly smaller celebrations. It still brings that gorgeous modern feel, with views of the ocean. There is an attached deck, which is great for cocktail hour, and makes for an easy transition between cocktail and the reception. If your guest list is under 200, this could be a good consideration, The Ocean Room can hold up to 160 guests.

When you book The Ocean Room as your Cape Cod wedding venue, here is the typical arrangement:
Ceremony Location: Your ceremony will take place on the private beach—right on the sand! A wooden board walk runs alongside the building and meets at the sand all the way down the aisle. One thing to note about this is that the beach is still open to the club members. Therefore, there will be people, umbrellas, and chairs on the beach and potentially in the background.
Cocktail Hour: Cocktail hour is held on the attached deck to The Ocean Room, featuring views of Wychmere Harbor. Its very relaxing to watch the boats as they come in and out, and enjoy the fresh air with a cocktail.
Reception: Your reception will be above the main venue, in The Ocean Room itself. You’ll be surrounded by windows, natural light, and harbor views.

Dreaming of a ceremony with your feet in the sand? Here’s what yours could look like!

Attend your cocktail hour on the built in deck, with a view of Wychmere Harbor.

Lastly, Wychmere has The Harbor Room venue. In my opinion, this is one of the most unique wedding venues on Cape Cod. Inside the reception space, it looks as if you’re literally on top of the water. You’re surrounded by sliding glass doors, with an unbeatable view of the harbor. It screams “classic cape cod”.

With the choice of The Harbor Room comes access to the Hydrangea Room and Hydrangea Veranda. Here is the typical arrangement for a wedding day:
Ceremony: Your ceremony would be located on the lawn, facing the water.
Cocktail Hour: Your cocktail hour would take place inside/outside between the Hydrangea Room and Veranda. The dock next to the Veranda makes a beautiful backdrop for portraits as well.
Reception: Your reception would kick off inside The Harbor Room with washed white walls, wooden beams, and driftwood floors.
